KLM Open features strong Dutch representation
With just a few days to go until the start of the KLM Open on June 4, the tournament has added a series of Dutch players to the field for the 106th edition at The International. Alongside fan favourites Joost Luiten, Darius van Driel and Mike Toorop, experienced tour professionals, national champions and standout talents will also tee it up.
Sporting director Daan Slooter used the available invitations to assemble a broad and competitive Dutch field. As a result, this year’s KLM Open will once again have a distinctly Dutch character, in line with the theme “Warming up for Oranje,” which marks the tournament as the kickoff of the Dutch sporting summer.
“This combination is exactly what makes it so interesting,” says Slooter. “We have international Major winners and Ryder Cup players in the field, but also a strong group of Dutch players with experience, character and ambition. For some it’s a reward, for others a chance to prove themselves at the highest level in front of a home crowd.”
Earlier, the KLM Open already announced the participation of international names such as defending champion Connor Syme, Francesco Molinari, Danny Willett, Sami Välimäki and Bernd Wiesberger.
